The month of February has definitely added a real fond memory for me to cherish, as I got to conduct Two baking sessions in my college where I have studied and where I am presently working as an Assistant Professor. So having this especially conducted for my own teachers and colleagues was something I was looking forward to since months.
It was a fairly big set up as compared to my other baking workshops (as to mean an entire laboratory platform full of baking stuff and tools lying all over) But there lies the charm I feel!
It was intimidating, fascinating and totally exciting!
There were around 32-35 participants present for this session and it seemed a bit challenging at first 'cause I had never faced a crowd of that many participants in my baking sessions before but I think that was the best part of it!
'A Classic Vanilla Sponge with Strawberry Compote on top, A Decedent Chocolate Cake, Whipped Cream Icing and Chocolate Ganache Icing' were on the menu for the session. The real challenge that I felt was covering two cake recipes with their respective frostings in just two hours. But following my pre-made time-plan for every recipe surely came to the rescue. So sticking to the time plan is a must!
Since Teaching is something that I am totally passionate about, It was a definite win win when teaching got hitched together with baking. And before I forget to mention, having equally excited baking enthusiasts was like a cherry on top.
I am grateful to the authorities for having belief and confidence in me, Women Development Cell of our college, Vrinda ma'am, all my teachers and colleagues who participated, laboratory assistants and my beloved students for assisting me conduct the workshop, helping with the clicks and making it a grand success.
It surely has a bunch of beautiful memories to carry!
Gracias..
Thank You!
